Portugal is today a destination of choice for Surf tourism, a fact for which the 10 consecutive years of this championship have contributed a lot.

The creation of the World Surf League in 2013 professionalized the circuit, giving each stage a global dimension that goes far beyond the “surf public” that followed until then this competition.

The Portuguese tour takes place in Peniche, with Praia dos Supertubos as the main stage, where the conditions are perfect for the competition.
